For this project the customer wanted us to transform their cottage into a modern way of living whilst trying to stick with some traditional aesthetics.
We removed a chimney breast and load bearing wall supporting upstairs with two huge steel girders.
We opened up the wall around the kitchen window and replaced it with French doors which lead out into the garden.
During the steel erecting we noticed there were no foundations supporting half of the house and so we underpinned the back of the house.
We then plastered throughout, installed new electrics, and new radiators, fitted a new kitchen, and finished it off with the vinyl floor. completely transforming this old closed off cottage into a beautiful fresh open living space.
